Fox Wins Centenary Pro-Am
East Kilbride's Graham Fox achieved that golfing rarity - a hole-in-one at a par 4 - to win him the 36-hole Centenary Pro-Am held recently at the club. At the end of the day, it was that shot that gave Fox victory with rounds of 61 and 60 for a one-under-par total of 121.
Runner-Up, just one stroke behind, was former Walker Cup player, Lindsay Mann (Carnoustie) with scores of 62 and 60 to finish on 122.
David Orr of East Renfrewshire, and joint first round leader with Fox on 61, finished third after a second round of 63, finishing on 124.
Dean Robertson (Mearns Castle) took fourth place on 125, with rounds of 63 and 62, while Graeme McInnes (Murcar) finished fifth, two shots further behind, with rounds of 64 and 63.
Colin White (The Carrick at Cameron House) improved his first round score of 81 by 16 shots to record a very respectable 65 on his second attempt around the course.
